For the last almost 4 yrs I've been running into issues with my suspension. As the years went on, the suspension issues kept adding up. During the last 3 yrs I've been researching to try and resolve these issues. I've taken my ride to numerous shops and dealer service to see if the problems can be found and resolved. Some of the issues were figured out and resolved, but not without a lot of aggravation, time and money. During the last 3 years I had my KW V2's rear lower strut bushing replaced, due to defective bushing. That resolved one of the noise coming from the rear. I replaced both front upper control arms, that were shot, that resolved one of the noise in the front. Every time I would hope that it would resolve the noises I'm hearing, but sure enough, there were more. The front noise was not so bad, so i focused on the rear more. I removed the rear bumper to see if that was the problem, no. I took out my entire trunk interior and removed the deck lid to see if they were the issue, no. I removed the cat back exhaust and had it rehung, no. Also, i continuously checked all the nuts and bolts, to insure that they were all torqued properly, no. I replaced the front and rear hotchkis sway bushings, this resolved the other noise front and rear. I also replaced the rear lower spring rubber boot, that i noticed a post that someone had mentioned that if it wasn't set properly, it would have movement and it was off a few mm's. This resolved the other noise i was hearing from the rear. I removed all four caliper's to make sure that the pad's weren't loose, no.
So, the last component that i didn't replace, which I know is the weakest link in our suspension, the sway end links. I put off replacing these for a few years and just lived with the noise. I didn't want to replace it with another set of stockers and the only aftermarket ones out there just seemed to expensive at the time. Well, the truth is that I wanted to spend the money else where on other mods. My ride has been hibernating for the winter and this year when i wake her up, i don't want to hear and feel the damn noise anymore. I was fortunate enough to come across a thread on BWoodyperformance. They have a special on they're aftermarket sway end links, with free color choice powder coating. The price was much more reasonable than they're competitors and talking with the owner, it was time to make the purchase. So, i recently bought there sway end links front and rear in gloss red powder coat for $210, to match the brembo brakes. This is a killer deal. The special is supposed to end on the 15th of this month, but BWoody had mentioned possibly extending the special. If you guys are having similar issues, you should definitely jump on this deal, if your not sure, just check the competitors prices and specs and you'll see for yourself. Also, for those that do not know, our stock sway end links are like chop sticks and only have a life span of about 15k miles. Just something to think about, especially those with they're rides dropped. I should be getting them in a week and will post up pix and thoughts. Wish me luck.
